From CreativeWiki
Premiered December 6, 2006 at Coolidge Corner Theatre
In A WORK OF FICTION, a young writer pained with insecurity over his latest assignment to pen a murder novel struggles against his own morals, which prevent him from seeing inside the mind of a killer. Meanwhile, Anna, a hardworking Romanian schoolteacher, has become romantically entangled with the young author and begins to wonder. How far will a writer go to find inspiration? A man's desires to love and to create are not necessarily diametrically opposed. But when propounded against each other the outcome can be catastrophic.
This romantic thriller is the loving product of a diverse group of Boston based students. The film has been in production for over two years and every aspect, from concept to final product, has been accomplished by students and local talent. The goal of this effort has been to provide an example of what can be accomplished when the universities of Boston work together to carry out the monumental task of creating and producing a professional grade feature film.
