When you stay in your own lane, there is no traffic.

In other words, mind your own business.

Road Blocks & Wrong Turns

People lose themselves by comparing themselves to others or trying to emulate (or worse, copy) their style or approach whether it be in design, marketing or business. This is a follower’s game and you will always be trying to keep up. And by trying to keep up you will often take a wrong turn or hit a road block in the process.

Focus on Your Road

Instead, focus on your road. Stay in your lane and when you’re good enough, people will come to you.

To put this in perspective, my lane or strategy here on Instagram is to provide value to others, through education, inspiration & positive affirmation, with the underlying focus of mindset, business, branding, marketing and logo design.

In my business, “my lane” is to help small to mid-sized businesses (and agency clients) grow and thrive through creating distinctive logos and brand identities, backed by strategy. My marketing strategy is inbound focused (SEO, social & word of mouth).

This particular combo is not going to work for everyone so why chase it?

Know Your Destination

Know what destination YOU are driving towards because only you have the engine and directions to get there!

So, where is your lane leading you?

Focus on the finish line (your goals) and put the pedal to the metal!
