There are 8 separate categories under the Alumni Awards and all of them “celebrate gamechangers – the unconventional thinkers, the challengers, the people who push boundaries and see possibilities. “
And with this said, I am extremely humbled to be nominated and selected as 1 of 4 finalists in the ‘Young Alumni Award‘ category which “recognises outstanding professional achievements and contributions by a graduate aged 35 years or younger”.
The University of Newcastle is generously flying me back from New York to Australia to attend the award ceremony on September 10th, as well as to do a guest lecture to final year students.
Either way it goes, I am chuffed to be included amongst this pool of exceptionally talented gamechangers from an extremely wide range of industries.
